We spent most of our Independence Day unpacking in our new place and grocery shopping. Luckily the kids are young enough that they didn't know it was supposed to be a special day... but I guess even if we'd wanted to, we didn't have family or a big group of friends here to have a bbq with anyway! Our sweet friend Kimberlee got the boys these matching American Flag shirts, so that was the extent of our daytime celebration:
In the evening, though, Joe talked to some neighbors and found out where to go for fireworks. We didn't want to go straight downtown to the park, out of fear of Hunter freaking out. We were directed to the back area of a mall that has a nice view of them from a distance. We ended up climbing about three stories worth of stairs at the back of the building to a little platform/balcony, laid down our blanket and waited for dark.
...and there was a restaurant nearby... It's hard to find mexican food that doesn't have cheese in it. Poor Sawyer. He ate dry chips.
My wicked handsome boys.

I'm glad you had a good fourth. Is Sawyer not able to eat cheese or something?
