Sawyer and I had a great time visiting Wilmington's zoo on Wednesday. It was designed very well for hot weather, with most areas in shade, water misters to cool down along the way, and lots of cold drinks available for purchase! This zoo allowed us to feed some of the animals corn or peanuts (we could throw peanuts at the bear- so cool- and corn at the zebra, for example). We even got to see a 10 day old macaque (monkey) up close, all cradled up in a blanket by a zoo keeper.

What a good variety of animals! That is so cool that they have a giraffe and crocodile. I've never seen those in zoos up here in WI. So.....I'll be seeing you in less than a month. Yea!
