Two cast members from our favorite show "The Office" came to Notre Dame last night! Mindy Kaling who plays "Kelly" and Craig Robinson who plays "Darryl" each did a comedy act. Joe and I were lucky enough to get in before it filled up. Actually, Joe waited in line an hour early for seats while I had to put Sawyer to bed & then run over right before the show started at 9pm.
Here's "Kelly" making jokes about how the show "The Vagina Monologues" coming to Notre Dame is getting so much negative press (the entire front page of the paper, as well as continuing on page 7)
Here's "Darryl" doing his act, all on the piano. He's a very talented pianist, and used his entire time singing funny things alongside his act, and having the audience join in.
At the end of the show, they both came out and had open time to answer questions from the audience.
Overall each act was more crude and profanity filled than we were expecting, but it was still one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities that we're glad we took advantage of. I mean, how often do you get to see actors from your favorite tv show right in front of you in real life? Pretty cool.
